Are these blends caffeine free?
Blue Lavender is completely caffeine-free!
The decaffeination process does not remove 100% of the caffeine content in the black tea, so Rose London Fog and Oat Milk Chai will still have trace amounts. Each cup will be left with fewer than 5mg of caffeine. For comparison, a cup of coffee ranges from 80-150mg caffeine! Matcha Coconut is a caffinated blend (25mg) and is balanced with L-theanine to give you the energizing boost without the jitters or crash.
How do you remove caffeine from the Rose London Fog and Oat Milk Chai blends?
To remove the caffeine, it requires 300 atmospheric pressure with C02 and an inlet for H20. This isolates the caffeine without the loss of camellia sinensis (tea) flavour and important nutritional benefits. This is the only process approved for certified organic teas.
What makes the Blue Lavender blend blue?
The blue hue you see with this blend comes from the blue spirulina! Blue spirulina (Phycocyanin) is a natural blue pigment derived from blue-green algae and is full of antioxidants. To get the most vivid colour when preparing your lattes, you’ll want to use hot, but not boiling water! Adding your milk slowly will also help.
