At Blume, we want to support your wellness journeys no matter what they look like. That mission has taken on a new meaning and purpose. Wellness isn't one size fits all and isn't just about what you eat.
When the Liv Collective reached out, we could see how much value a space like this must have. They are assembling and creating space for women of color and have shared a list of wellness resources (below).
Female founded, wellness supporting, enriching community and raising black voices? HELL YEAH!
Read all about their mission below and get the details below!
The LIV Collective is a Toronto-based holistic wellness community dedicated to the health and well-being of Black women and women of color.
We seek to inspire greater autonomy in wellness by creating spaces both online and in real life where Black women and women of color can collectively engage in practices and experiences that support healing and the development of true well-being.
In addition, we recognize the barriers to accessing health services and work to connect our community with practitioners and supports that reflect their background and unique needs. We currently offer yoga and meditation sessions led by WOC practitioners and we are directly affiliated with WOC nutritionists, psychotherapists, personal trainers and more.
Lastly, we acknowledge the need for greater mental health awareness and support within the Black community - particularly during such traumatic and tumultuous circumstances. As such, we seek to support the realization of more affordable and accessible mental health support for Black-identifying women by offering low/no-cost therapy options with the support of public donation toward realizing this goal.
We are dedicated to creating the safe and receptive spaces that will allow Black women and women of color to let go; to breathe; to heal; to commune; and to rejoice.
If you are a Black-identifying woman or a woman of color seeking community and/or seeking supports along your wellness journey, please connect with us.
We have compiled a mental-health and wellness resource list featuring Canadian organizations and initiatives which are also dedicated to the health and well-being of the Black community.
