Turmeric Tonic

You can use our chili turmeric or turmeric blends to make a very simple at home cheat tonic. A tonic is a drink that is restorative and invigorating, this recipe definitely fits the bill. This tonic combines three superheroes: lemon, turmeric and ginger to make a warming tea that will support your immune system and well being. When I have a cold, I flush my system with this tonic. It is also an amazing hangover cure!

Lemon naturally detoxified and alkalizes the body. It can aide digestion and when combined with warm water can be very soothing for joints. Lemon helps maintain your PH balance while also giving you a hit of Vitamin C. Use just a squeeze of lemon or sub apple cider vinegar.

Organic Ginger is an ingredient in all our blends. It is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that can help settle your stomach and nausea.

Organic Turmeric, of course makes an appearance. You know we love turmeric and its active compound curcumin. Another natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Turmeric supports you in a host of different ways. Our blends contain black pepper which helps you absorb the benefits of curcumin.

If you are using our chili turmeric blend, you will also get a hint of cayenne pepper. Cayenne pepper boost metabolism and helps with circulation. It has been used to help headaches, aide digestion and lower blood pressure.

What to do:

All you need is a squeeze of lemon or a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of Blume Chili Turmeric Latte Mix, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and hot water. Stir together and enjoy :)
